The Service for Students (SfS) is comprised of two service teams: one for applicants and one for students already enrolled at Universität Hamburg.
The Application and Admissions Team is responsible for the overseeing university placements for academic programs at Universität Hamburg for placements which are not distributed by the ZVS (new: hochschulstart.de) in Dortmund. It supervises applicants from Germany as well as international applicants from the EU and other countries and international applicants who acquired their university entry qualification in Germany. The Team provides information about subjects offered at Universität Hamburg and valid academic degrees, including teaching degrees, and university entry for working men and women.
The Student Affairs Team is the place for students to go with all general questions. It is responsible for re-registration and ex-matriculation procedures as well as for applications to part-time study and academic leave. It issues semester certificates, replacement certificates, etc.
The Student Affairs Team is also responsible for questions about tuition fees.
