Advising for Prospective Students (in Small Groups)

Advising

You want to study but still have a lot of questions about what and how? Then we recommend our special advising sessions for prospective students! We introduce you to academic programs and answer your questions in detail. For example:

  • What are the course programs about? How are they structured?
  • How do I apply? And how great are my admission chances?
  • What can I do with my studies later?
  • Where can I find more information?

Normally, five to ten prospective students take part in an advising session and share their ideas. An advising session lasts about two hours. There are different groups for science programs and for humanities programs.

When and where

Advising sessions take place on the fourth floor of the CampusCenter, Alsterterrasse 1.

Dates, times and contact information to register for a session can be found here:

This link refers you to a German page because
all these group advising sessions are conducted in German
.

You therefore need sufficient German language skills to take part in these advising sessions. If you don't speak German but still have questions, please email studienberatung@uni-hamburg.de

Please note that all bachelor's programs at the Universität Hamburg are conducted in German and that proof of German language skills is required at the time of application.
