Registration Periods and Deadlines

Current semester

The current winter semester (2011/12) commences on 1 October 2011 and ends on 31 March 2012.

Dates for past and future semesters (if already known) are available under semester deadlines.

Application and registration

Applications for studies commencing in the summer semester at the Universität Hamburg run from 1 December to 15 January. Applications for studies commencing in the winter semester run from 1 June to 15 July.

Orientation

There are also registration periods or deadlines for several student orientation programs, for example:

• Seminars on decision-making (course dates)

• Preparatory semester for foreign students (application deadline)
