Semester fee

Starting in summersemester 2012, the semester fee for students of Universität Hamburg is 288.00 euros.

• The fee also needs to be paid for a semester of academic leave.
• Students in special programs, e.g. ERASMUS (exception: Europa-Colleg) pay a reduced fee of 238 euros.

You can transfer payment using your STiNE account under "Documents." Please use this form as there may be deviating fees in the individual payment form.

How the fee is calculated

The semester fee is calculated on the basis of the "actual" fee of 288 euros (legal foundation is the currently valid "Fee Regulation of the Student Body of Universität Hamburg") of which

• 10.20 euros go towards the student body in accordance with regulations
• 150,90 euros go towards the semester ticket (transportation ticket)
• 1.90 euros go towards semester ticket hardship cases and
  
• 75.00 euros go towards student services (according to the currently valid "Fee Regulation of the Student Body of Universität Hamburg")

and there is an administrative fee of 50.00 euros.

Payment deadlines

Semester certificates can only be sent after your fees (including tuition fees) have been transferred in full.

Enrollment / Matriculation

If you are a beginning student matriculating in the semester in which you have enrolled at Universität Hamburg, please transfer your fee as soon as you have received your preliminary semester documents.

Re-registration

If you are re-registering for the following semester, please transfer your fee beforehand.

• For summer semester: payment by 1 April at the latest
• For winter semester: payment by 1 October at the latest

In order to get your semester ticket and semester certificate punctually, you should transfer your fees at least a month before the above-mentioned deadlines.

If your address has changed or if you would like to take academic leave, please let us know at least 14 days prior to payment so that we can take these changes into consideration.
